Thanks so much for coming! Here are a few sightseeing suggestions, and neat places to explore, while on your visit.
downtown annapolis
Colonial architecture, shops, restaurants, & the marina. http://www.visitannapolis.org/discover/interests/main-street
Middleton Tavern (http://www.middletontavern.com/) is a classic.
historic Londontown gardens
Historic settlement and gardens. It's in Edgewater near the wedding. A good place to relax and explore if you're running early. The gardens are especially nice. Sort of like forest bathing, but not. http://www.historiclondontown.org/
eat crabs!
There are a multitude of places to eat seafood in Maryland, including crab houses where you can crack open crabs on your table with a mallet! For a non-messy seafood experience, Yellowfin is very close (http://www.yellowfinrest.com/).
UNITED STATES NAVAL ACADEMY
All guests 16 and older will need a driver's license or other form of government-issued ID to enter the Naval Academy. The Naval Academy Visitor's Center offers guided tours throughout the day. Click here for more information. If you'd like to explore the campus on your own, you can find a map here.
Visit DC or Baltimore!
On your way in/out of the area, there's lots to see in DC & Baltimore. The American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore is one of our favorites. The National Arboretum, National Gallery of Art, Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, and National Zoo are some of our DC faves. Feel free to ask us for other suggestions!
